Passing of Bernie Wales - HartlyThursday, July 2, 2015
The officers and members Cheswold Fire Company would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Bernie Wales. Bernie was an active member for many years with us until he moved to Hartly in the early 1990's and held the rank of Assistant Fire Chief when he left. He was a fearless firefighter and took a special interest the junior members of the company. Bernie was also an active EMT and many local residents benefited from his skill and compassion.
The funeral will be held at Torberts Funeral Home on route 10 on Tuesday, June 8 at 1 pm.
