North Dover Elementary Career Day

North Dover Elementary School - efighters Matt Roseborough, Kylie Flynn, and Burt Melvin attended the North Dover Elementary School career day. They used engine 43-3 and ambulance A-43 to demonstrate some of the tasks that firefighters and EMT's have to do.

Draft Morning

Kenton - 0623, Cheswold was alerted to cover station 45 (Clayton) again while they were at a house fire at the same location as last night. Engine 43-4 responded with 6 volunteers and was diverted to the scene just as they were arriving at station 45. After dumping the 1000 gallons from 43-4 into Tanker 51 (Hartly), they were sent to the stream in Kenton to set up a drafting operation to fill other apparatus.......

Cover Station 45-Clayton

Clayton Fire Station - swold was alerted at 2231 hours to cover station 45 (Clayton) with one engine while they were battling a house fire on Blackiston Road between Kenton and Blackiston. Engine 43-4 responded with 6 volunteers and remained at station 45 until 0205 hours.

Cheswold Assists Leipsic with House Fire

Dyke Branch Road - swold was alerted to assist Leipsic with a house fire on Dyke Branch Road in the early evening hours. An officer from Leipsic arrived on scene and reported smoke showing. Engine 43-2 arrived shortly afterward and stretched a hose to the rear of the structure to extinguish an attched deck fire. Units from Leipsic and Cheswold overhauled the fire and removed the deck to protect the house.

DelDot Truck in MVC
2.26.2008
Kenton Road & Central Church Road - swold VFC was alerted at 1404 hours to a vehicle accident with injuries at Kenton Road & Central Church Road. Ambulance B-43 arrived to find a DelDot dump truck overturned with several injured subjects. All patients were transported and DelDot responded to salvage the vehicle.

Fire Chief Roy had command.
