2nd Blizzard in a Week

Cheswold - Feb. 10, Delaware had it's 2nd blizzard in a week. The department responded to several EMS calls and a structural collapse.

Comedy Show
Cheswold will be hosting a comedy show on June 25 in the hall featuring the Rev. Bob Levy of the Miserable Men Show on the Howard Stern Channel on Sirius Radio.

Cheswold - swold firefighters and EMT's staffed the station around the clock from Friday night into Sunday night to ensure a prompt response to emergencies. So far, several EMS calls have been handled as well as some service requests from local residents.

We have served as staging location for Kent County Paramedics, Delaware State Police, and the National Guard during the emergency.

Fast Landing Road - swold was dispatched for a car accident in the 1200 block of Fast Landing Road. After some difficulty locating the vehicle, it was discovered in a stream. The jeep had suffered severe damage and the victim had gotten out and walked to a nearby house. He was transported to Kent General after calling for paramedics.

New Rescue 43

Cheswold Fire House - our January monthly meeting, Singer Associates delivered our new rescue/pumper. The members got a chance to look it over before it went back to Singer's Middletown service center for it's pre-delivery inspection. We hope to have it in service within the next month.

Benefit for Bernie Wales

Cheswold - Friday, January 8, 2010, a fundraiser will be held at the Cheswold Fire Hall to benefit Past Assistant Chief Bernie Wales. Bernie was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on October 25, 2008.

This illness has disabled Bernie and left him unable to work. His wife Linda is now only able to work part time due to the amount of care that Bernie requires. The co-pays, medical supplies, and travel to......
