House Fire in Kenton - East Commerce Street Kenton

Cheswold was dispatched along with the Clayton Fire Company to a reported house fire on East Commerce Street in Kenton. With several crews in the station from a previous alarm, Cheswold responded quickly with 2 engines and a rescue under the command of Fire Chief Jamie Roy. Chief Roy arrived on scene in engine 43-2 reporting smoke showing and establishing Kenton Command. Quint 45 arrived shortly after and set up on the "A" side of the building. Command requested a tanker from Hartly (51) because Kenton has no hydrants. Crews from 43 & 45 companies located and extinguished the fire and 51 assisted with overhaul.

Units responding: Engines 43-2, 43-4, 43-3, 43-1, 45-4, 51-5, Quint 45, Rescues 43-6, & 45, Tanker 51, and Ambulances A & B 43. Leipsic (53) provided the cover-up for Cheswold.
