The members of the Cheswold Fire Company would like to offer our condolences to the Philadelphia Fire Departent for the loss of two of their members.  Lieutenant Robert Neary and Firefighter Daniel Sweeney died this morning in a building collapse while fighting a five-alarm fire in the Kensington section of the city.  They were assigned to Ladder 10 at the time of their death.

The Commissioner of the Philadelphia Fire Department, Lloyd Ayers recently visited the Cheswold Fire Company back in September of 2011 for the Delaware State Fire Chief's Association meeting.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and the fire department.
