Around 1130, Cheswold was alerted for a reported house fire in the Parker's Run development.  Due to the information on the 911 call, the dispatch center added Smyrna (ladder company) and Leipsic (rescue company) to the response.  Engine 43-2 arrived to find a 2 story home with heavy smoke showing.  Past Chief Eisenbrey assumed command while firefighters Tippitt and Bush took an attack line inside.  Driver/Operator Dempsey established a water supply at a nearby hydrant with the assistance of Jen Roy and Christine Mast.

Ladder 44 arrived and the crew took a second attack line into the structure.  Crews from 44-3 and 53-6 arrived and went to work as well.  Crews were briefly withdrawn from the house while the ladder pipe from 44 knocked down the roof fire.

Deputy Chief Dempsey arrived and assumed command in time to supervise overhaul operations and the scene was placed under control.

Units on scene:  43-2, 43-4, Rescu 43, B-43, Ladder 44, 44-3, 53-6, & KM-6.

An engine from Dover stood by at Cheswold's station and handled one fire in Fox Pointe while there.
