Special Operations Team Training
Wednesday, December 9, 2009
Cheswold
The monthly training was held for the Special Operations Team at Cheswold firehouse. About 15 members attended and performed a simulated confined space rescue using Cheswold's rescue truck. The truck has a roof hatch that served as the opening in a tank. Members developed a plan to remove the victim and then entered the space. The patient was packaged and removed using a 5:1 hauling system and a half-back. Members of the team from stations 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, & Kent County EMS attended.
